Joey Lawrence to be a stripper (the classy kind)
Little Joey Lawrence ain't so little anymore: at 36 he's all grown up and become quite the handsome man.
Some of you may remember him from such TV classics as Gimme A Break (1981-87), where he brought the cute to match Nell Carter's sass, and Blossom (1990-95), as the title character's none-too-bright brother. He is currently starring opposite Melissa Joan Hart (Sabrina, the Teenaged Witch) in the ABC Family sitcom Melissa & Joey.
And now Joey's going to flex his muscles and his vocal cords as the celebrity guest star with Las Vegas' Chippendales.
“We are thrilled to have someone as talented as Joey joining our show this summer – he’s a true triple-threat,” says Kevin Denberg, Managing Partner of Chippendales. “With the combination of our award-winning show and the forthcoming ‘Magic Mike’ film starring Channing Tatum, the male revue is making its way back into the mainstream and we expect the addition of Joey to drive even more excitement to the industry.”
He will appearing for three weeks in June.
If he's actually going to be stripping down to his undies and gyrating his goods in people's faces then please, if there is a God in heaven, someone get us front row seats!

Quick Pic: Paul Rudd's big dick
Yes, we have a huge crush on actor Paul Rudd. He's so damn adorable! So when we came across this pic, we just had to share it.

Joe Manganiello reveals all
That Joe Manganiello was cast to play a stripper in the upcoming movie Magic Mike isn't much of a surprise. He's made many a man and woman squeal with delight when appearing naked on his hit show True Blood.
And though showing off his amazing body is something the 6'5" actor is used to, thongs proved to be a little more daunting.
"I wore these little thongs that literally go up your butt, and it definitely takes getting used to," Manganiello, 35, explained. "It was uncomfortable at first. It sort of felt like a wedgie ... but once you get into the routine of wearing one, you know what to do and you just do your thing. We all had to suffer a bit for our craft."
Stripping in front of his co-stars was pretty easy. "Being with the guys, nobody takes themself too seriously," he said. "Everybody was on set cheering, laughing and rolling on the ground."
But that doesn't mean everyone else is welcome when the film comes out on June 29. "I told my parents not to go see this," he said, pointing out that his character is named Big Dick Richie. "Nothing can prepare them for what they are going to see."
The real question: does he need a prosthetic prick like Mark Wahlberg used in Boogie Nights, or will we get to see the real thing?

Josh Hutcherson is the best!
The Hunger Games' Josh Hutcherson, 19, will receive this year's Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation's Vanguard Award, making him the youngest recipient of the award in the organization's history.
GLAAD's Vanguard Award is presented to media professionals who, through their work, have increased the visibility and understanding of the LGBT community. Hutcherson, who has also appeared as the son of two lesbian mothers in The Kids Are All Right, is one of the founders of Straight But Not Narrow (SBNN).
Hutcherson says, "I have a lot of gay friends in Los Angeles. My roommate’s gay and I lost two uncles when I was young to AIDS, so it’s an important cause in my family." He appeared in one of the first PSAs for the Straight But Not Narrow campaign. (Watch it below.)
It sure doesn't hurt when our straight friends are gorgeous!
Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears cast in porn flick?
No. Not really. This week a story - a mention really - surfaced on Queer Porn Nation that Jake Shears, lead male vocalist of Scissor Sisters, would be appearing in a porn film directed by Chi Chi LaRue. Ever vigilant in its quest for truth in porn, The Sword went to unprecedented heights (or depths) in sarcasm - three separate blog posts - to mercilessly put Queer Porn Nation in its place. Turns out QPN took porn newcomer Jimmy Fanz to be Jake Shears - even though they don't look the least bit alike. Embarassing.
Though you won't be seeing Shears in a porno any time soon, Scissor Sisters has released their new single,"Only the Horses," from their upcoming album, Magic Hour. Enjoy, and forget about all this misktaken identity silliness.
Jeremy Renner is one tough non-gay man
Jeremy Renner is becoming quite the star. He's in the big summer movie, The Avengers. And he's been pegged to take over from Matt Damon in the Bourne Identity movie franchise.
But with all the fame comes, well, the press. And, fair or not, his personal life has become fodder for many a gossip column. For a private guy like Renner, this is the worst part about being an star.
Rumors of Renner's sexuality seem to be particularly bothersome for the 41-year-old.
“I want my personal life to be personal, and it’s not fucking true,” he said about the gay rumors. “And I don’t care if you’re talking about things that are true, you’re still talking about my personal life. How about I go peek in your window, take what underwear you wore last night, whose husband you were fucking, and shove that in the megaphone throughout your neighborhood? How does that feel?”
He was once confronted in public about his sexuality. On one Christmas Eve he was assaulted for 'being gay.'
“This guy chokes me with the scarf I was wearing," Renner remembered. "He called me a fag ’cause I was wearing a scarf! Then he shoved my sister and I got behind him and I choked him out — put him to sleep.”
We certainly applaud Renner for standing up for himself and taking a homophobe down. But are gay rumors, whether true or not, worth getting so worked up over?
You can read the rest of Renner's interview with the Hollywood Reporter here.

He may not be gay, but he has a nice bum!
Feeling hungry?

This past weekend saw the biggest movie opening for a non-sequel, and the honor went to The Hunger Games.
Of course, the movie itself looks pretty interesting. It is set in a future where the Capitol selects a boy and girl from the twelve districts to fight to the death on live television.
The three young male leads, however, are an added bonus. Alexander Ludwig (left) plays Cato, one of the more aggressive players pulled into the game. Josh Hutcherson (middle) takes on the role of Peeta Mellark, who confesses his love for the lead character, a teenaged girl named Katniss. And finally, there is Liam Hernsworth (right), who as Gale Hawthorne is Katniss' best friend.
Madonna could be arrested in St. Petersburg
Pop singer Madonna promised to "speak up for the gay community, to support the gay community and to give strength and inspiration to anyone who is or feels oppressed,” when she performs in St. Petersburg this coming August. The city recently passed a law forbidding the promotion of homosexuality.
Well, the the bill’s author, city assemblyman Vitaly Milanov (pictured), said he would want Madonna charged under the new law if she speaks out during her concert. He said he was willing to attend the show “to control its moral content.”
“I’m ready to personally suffer a couple of hours of her concert,” he said. (You know he's just a closeted Madonna fan!)
Russia has had a hard time with homosexuality. It was banned in the Soviet Union and only decriminalized in Russia in 1993. It remained classified as a mental disorder until 1999, but is still considered taboo in Russian society.
Sadly, the St. Petersburg legislation may become law across Russia if politicians get their way.

Madonna versus St Petersburg
St. Petersburg, Russia, recently passed a law making it illegal to promote homosexuality in any way. Popular pop star and LGBT-ally, Madonna, is due to perform in the city this August, but has promised to speak out against the law.
"I will come to St. Petersburg to speak up for the gay community and to give strength and inspiration to anyone who is or feels oppressed," Madonna said. "I'm a freedom fighter."
Her latest video for "Girl Gone Wild" is filled with homoerotic imagery. Will any of that be shown while performing in the Russian city? And what will she say or do? We'll have to wait to find out.
"I don’t run away from adversity," Madonna insisted, however. "I will speak during my show about this ridiculous atrocity."
In an interesting twist, some gay rights activists in Russia have announced plans to protest during the singer’s concerts in both Moscow and St Petersburg, calling her a hypocrite. They say that her only real interest is making money, not gay rights. They say if she really wanted to take a stand, she would boycott St. Petersburg on this tour.
“In Russia, (pop-stars like Madonna) have fantastic earnings, and this allows them to forget about the problems of human rights,” argued Yuri Gavrikov, from Gay Russia. He said that simply getting on stage and speaking out on an issue is not enough.
We say give the lady a chance. Maybe she's not out marching in the streets, but she certainly has access to a lot of ears in that country. Gay Russia should be looking at ways to leverage her support to reach out to other Russians instead of dismissing Madonna so quickly.

Former teen heartthrob a homo-hater
For the record, yes we would sleep with Kirk Cameron. He's an idiot, but he's so pretty! (And if he's reading this: call us! We'll snuggle and talk about your many, many, many issues.)
That said, most people are aware that Cameron is a very religious man, so when he told Piers Morgan that he thought homosexuality was "unnatural...detrimental, and ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization," we really weren't that surprised.
But what made this story newsworthy was the outpouring of support for the gay community by celebs on Twitter, who didn't hesitate to take the former star to task. And some of the tweets are funny as hell.
First prize goes to Scrubs and Garden State star Zach Braff, who wrote: "If Kirk Cameron hates gay people, why was he best friends with Boner?"

J-Lo's hunk's bicep: the deleted tweet
Jennifer Lopez has learned a valuable lesson: a tweet, though untweeted, never really disappears. She posted a picture with her boyfriend Casper Smart on Twitter, but then quickly deleted it. Of course, it is now all over the Internet.

Yes, Ms. Lopez, we approve of your choice in boy toys!
